With the BBC's flagship charity show Children in Need raising a record amount for children's charities last week, an award winning modern choir called Funky Voices have released a single to raise funds – and it STORMED the iTunes singles chart.

Having premiered the video online, the LA band are hoping their brand of string infused rock will capture the imagination of rock fans around the globe.

With their stunning, emotive brand of folk music, The Frisbys are a band on the rise, now unveiling 'Give In To The Dark' from their new double A-side single. The music is the first to be released from EP The Cause (released January 29th 2016).
An 18 year old folk songwriter based in Kings Lynn, Soham De started young. He's been gigging for 4 years, building a local fanbase and making a name for himself by supporting Gabrielle Aplin at the UEA on her 'English Rain' UK tour.
All independent musicians have been there – a sold-out first gig, because the curiosity of all our family and friends have led to them buying a ticket and coming along to see what you've been pestering them about. Then comes the second gig, with slightly fewer people. Then a third, then a fourth. Eventually, you're left playing to just girlfriends/boyfriends and (if you're lucky) family who feel obliged to come – having already irritated everyone else into submission with your gig reminders.
The difficulty is switching from playing gigs to people you already know, to attracting new fans who don't know you. Yet. Here's a few ideas as to how you can do that:
